Lighting Retrofits
It costs significantly more money to create new energy, than it does to conserve existing energy.
Energy
efficient lighting retrofits are one of the lowest cost ways for Municipalities,
Schools, Hospitals or private building owners to participate in conserving
Canada's resources.
Benefit from annual retrofitting returns of 30% to 80% when you consider a relatively low retrofit investment (under $50 to $100 per fluorescent fixture) and see paybacks within two to three years, or less.
Start Saving
Energy efficient lighting retrofits replace old inefficient T12 fluorescent lamps and magnetic ballasts with energy efficient T8 fluorescent lamps and electronic ballasts.
In a basic 2ft x 4ft fixture using the standard retrofit package, you change four (4) lamps with two (2) magnetic ballasts to two (2) lamps with one (1) electronic ballast and one (1) high performing (95% TR) specular reflector. Most often, the final outcome is more light, using less energy.
Energy Efficient Evaluations
Lamp and ballast manufacturers publish specific data on all their products
that will allow you to consider their suitability for your project. You can
expect the same from a reflector manufacturer. Work with a company who can
create the right combination of light output, longevity and energy efficiency
and who will evaluate the performance of the total retrofit package - the
lamps, ballast and reflector. Consider:
Complete photometric data is available on all the reflective aluminum available
from Anomet. We take energy conservation seriously and always make this information
readily available.
